I don’t believe in the necessity of what is too often and too loosely termed “balanced judgment” or “balanced programming.” There is, I think, no other side to a lie that translates itself into wholesale murder, into war, into destruction. There is no other side to the Tonkin Bay Resolution. There is no other side to lying about the U2 flights, no other side to the lies about Iran and the Contras.
