Well for one thing, knights are very hard on giants. Merely to be a giant is an abominable wrong, a grievously conspicuous sign of evil. And giants must have magnificent names, which makes them even worse. Take for example Curaculiambro of Malindrania. There he is, minding his own business, staggering under the weight he carries, knocking his head on the lintels of doorways, having to feed his oversized gut. And then suddenly a knight-errant who has nothing to do except burn up energy stored from years of fantastic chastity, comes down on the giant with a meat cleaver.
