We’ve punched holes as big as a continent in the ozone layer, we’ve gorged ourselves on resources that can’t be replaced, we’ve dumped toxins in landfills that are likely to leak, we’ve percolated greenhouse climates from the bad breath of our engines and furnaces, and, by doing all those things, we’ve cadged from our children’s future the sufficiencies and protections that are rightfully theirs.
